Update. . .at last!!

Did you think we had fallen off the face of the earth?
What a week and a half we have had. Let me just start by saying that we are happily living in our new home, but that didn't go without a few bumps along the way.
Our closing in GA went great, however our closing here in TN didn't go so well. We found out as we were on our way here, with a 24 foot truck packed, that the money wasn't received and the seller wasn't going to let us in the house. What were we to do, other than cry? We all (Dad, Shelly, Keri, Rusty, Eddie, Jeannie and Ammu) had cars packed full and had no place to go. I called my new boss and thankfully he let us store some stuff here in the office because we weren't going to be able to get in to the house until MONDAY!! We were homeless. I can actually say that because we didn't own a home for a 2 day period. We checked into the Holiday Inn Select at the Airport, thankfully they allowed dogs, and spent the next 2 days (what should have been our first days in our new home) in a small hotel room. Thank goodness for Marty's mom and Grandmother, or else I'm not sure we (or the kids) would have made it.
We were able to go out with our friends, Keri and Rusty, on Sunday night and have our last hoorah. We went to Wildhorse Saloon where Marty and I preceded to get our butt's kicked in pool, sorry Marty!! After we shut the place down, ok so it was only 10:15, we went to B.B. King's Blues Club and had a blast!! The music was amazing. What a fun night!!
We did finally get moved in and today, 8 days later, most of the boxes are unpacked. Marty has even painted the living room. Life is good again!
