Well, as of last night I have finished the Christmas shopping. . . for the kids. We have actually made decent progress with the rest of the family but it is such a relief to have the kids done. I did a lot of shopping online and bought a few gifts on Ebay also. Marty finished up the stocking stuffers yesterday at Cracker Barrel. No laughing, they have some great things.
I didn’t want to have to face the mall after Thanksgiving unless absolutely necessary so the kids and I went to Opry Mills last night while Marty was at work and did a little bit of shopping. It’s amazing how good the kids can be when they have the promise of a cookie hanging over their heads. I know some love the thrill of the deal and the craziness of the mall but I guess working retail for so many years has tainted me. For all of you hitting the stores at 4:00 am, good luck and I will be dreaming about you as I am snug in my bed fast asleep.

I love the mall and I love to shop, but I'm with you about the crowds and craziness - someone else can take my place in line before the sun comes up.

Hi Robyn! This is Ashley Henson from Clog'n FX...a blast from the past! I was googling things for FX and found your blog! Your kids are beautiful and I can't believe how big Abby is!! I just wanted to say hi! (P.S. I'm watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade and cloggers just came on...wierd.)
Our retail days definitely killed the holiday shopping season for us. I rarely walk into a mall these days. Maybe once a year and only by force.
So glad I can read your blog when I get the chance to see how things are going.
The kids look sooooo cute! Holy Mini-Marty's!!!
i can't believe you are done shopping for the kids. impressive. i don't think that will ever happen for me. i just can't get moving that quick, its not in my blood!! but good for you...and i can't wait to see all those christmas lights in your lawn when we come!!
